Redingotă purtată de G. Timică (1886-1954) în spectacolul „Matei Millo” de Mircea Ștefănescu , în rolul sufleurului. Spectacolul a avut premiera la TNB în 1953. Regia a fost semnată de Sică Alexandrescu, iar scenografia și costumele de W. Siegfried.

Redingota este din stofă de lână neagră, cu revere, croită până în talie, cu patru nasturi îmbrăcați. Reverele sunt marcate de câte o butonieră falsă. Mânecile sunt marcate de doi nasturi mici îmbrăcați, în spate este deschis din talie cu două pliuri false.

Starea de conservare este parțial deteriorată. Haina prezintă zone decolorate, erodate și lacune de dimensiuni mici și medii datorate unui atac biologic din trecut. În zona gulerului a suferit intervenții anterioare de țesere, de completare a unor lacune vechi și i s-a adăugat o bridă de prindere din material textil diferit.

Actor George Timică (1886-1954)

This frock coat was worn by G. Timică (1886-1954) in the play „Matei Millo” by Mircea Ștefănescu. He played the role of the prompter. The play premiered at the National Theatre in Bucharest (TNB) in 1953. The director was Sică Alexandrescu, and the set and costume design was by W. Siegfried.

The frock coat is made of black wool fabric with lapels. It is cut to the waist and has four covered buttons. The lapels are marked with a false buttonhole each. The sleeves are marked with two small covered buttons. The back is open from the waist with two false pleats.

Condition:

The condition of the frock coat is partially deteriorated. The coat has discolored, eroded areas and small and medium-sized gaps due to a past biological attack. In the collar area, it has undergone previous weaving interventions, to fill in some old gaps, and a fastening strap made of a different textile material has been added.
