Este un document original, cu valoare biografică, care datează din prima jumătate a secolului al XX-lea. A fost eliberat la data de 9 mai 1941 și poartă antetul Primăriei Orașului Târgoviște, Oficiul Stării Civile. Expunerea extrasului după certificatul de naștere este important în cadrul expoziției deoarece reprezintă punctul de pornire pentru trasarea parcursului vieții actorului Mihai Popescu (1909-1953) oferind date generale despre cadrul în care acesta s-a născut: data, locul.

Stare de conservare: suportul este fragilizat, oxidat, prezintă deformări prin pliere și eroziuni până la fracturare pe zonele pliate dar și marginal. În partea stângă pe margine există două zone de smulgere parțială a hârtiei de la o lipire de alt document. Marginile sunt erodate. Se poate ușor observa un halou de umiditate pe o treime din suprafața documentului.

Condition:

  • The support is fragile, oxidized, shows folding deformations and erosions up to fracture on the folded areas but also marginal.
  • On the left side on the margin there are two areas of partial tearing of the paper from a gluing to another document.
  • The edges are eroded. A moisture halo can be easily observed on a third of the surface of the document.

  • On the twentieth of December, at eleven o’clock in the morning, in the city of Târgoviște, district of Dâmbovița, appeared before us, the undersigned, Gheorghe Ionescu, mayor of the city of Târgoviște, and Dumitru Popescu, clerk of the Civil Status Office, in order to register the birth of a child of the male sex, born on the eighteenth of this month, at four o’clock in the morning, in the house of the spouses Ilie Popescu and Maria Popescu, residing in Târgoviște, at No. 10, St. Gheorghe Street.

  • The child was given the name of Mihai.

  • The father, Ilie Popescu, is 30 years old, a shoemaker by profession, and the mother, Maria Popescu, is 28 years old, a housewife.

  • The witnesses were Ion Ionescu, 25 years old, a clerk, and Gheorghe Popescu, 35 years old, a farmer, both residing in Târgoviște.
